NON-COATED STANDARD GRAY SPONGE
Soft, open cell, polyurethane foam provides excellent support and comfort. This foam has minimal attenuation, is fire retardant, and has been the industry standard for decades.

COATED STANDARD SPONGE
This is the same standard gray sponge outlined above, but is coated with a medical-grade, durable and easy-to-clean vinyl surface that is resistant to blood, Betadine®, barium, alcohol, oils and other fluids. Attenuation is very low (edges may show, depending on technique). Ideal for sterile environments.

Non-Coated Sponges are gray in color.
Coated Sponges are blue in color.
