The Only Digital Chest X-Ray CAD System to Receive FDA Market Approval.
RapidScreen® RS-2000D provides an efficient way for digital X-ray department to add Early lung cancer detection to their capabilities.
The RS-2000D evaluates each digital PA/AP image based on an exhaustive set of unique signatures to rapidly identify nodules that warrant further review. Circled nodules quickly direct reviewers to areas of concern...right down to nodules as small as 9mm. In fact, in clinical trials, RapidScreen® was documented to help users improve detection of nodules from 9-14mm by 21%, supporting diagnosis at the earliest, most treatable stage of the disease.
Since RapidScreen® is strictly a review tool, no additional dose is required. It processes in the background so department workflow is not interrupted. And it is compatible with all modalities that generate DICOM 3.0 conformant Direct Radiography, Computed Radiography and Digitized Images, enabling any digital reviewer to sustain optimum performance throughout their day.
Processing
A DICOM-formatted thoracic chest image is pushed through the RS-2000D where processing is done in the background. CAD markings are either “burned-in” to generate a derived image or becomme and integrated part of the original DICOM image that supports the DICOM standard for displaying graphical overlays on the original image.
Storage & Retrieval
When CAD processign is complete, detection results are immediately sent to the PACS server where they are associated with the original study and are immediately available for query/retreival and viewing by a physician through a networked PACS workstation. There is no limit to the number of destination devices the RS-2000D can send detection results to, allowing easy integration into a wide variety of clinical workflow configurations.
