Demi X-Ray Lead Apron (model 830)

There are many benefits of half aprons. They provide peace of mind to patients who are concerned with protection during imaging procedures, and they provide ease of use to radiologic technologist who use them to shield patients during imaging procedures of the upper body or upper extremities. Often used for standing chest radiographs when they are placed on the backside of the patient, they are also often used on the lap of patients when imaging extremities or pediatric patients.  While recent studies have shown little to no benefit of using this to shield the gonadal region, patients still often demand the use of shields during their exam.
