Each core material complies with ASTM F3094-14 testing standards, ensuring proven safety and performance. To suit different preferences and facility needs, the Thyroid Shield is offered in four durable outer materials—Nylon, Ripstop, Polytron, or PVC EasyClean—and comes in a wide range of color options, all finished with black binding. Four fabric options:

• Polytron is a super soft smooth fabric that is flexible and super comfortable due to the polypropylene it is made of. This is the lightest weight material and is inherently stain resistant and bleach cleanable.
• Ripstop which is a woven fabric that uses a reinforcing technique which makes I more resistant to tearing and ripping. A lightweight material interwoven with ripstop reinforcement threads is crosshatch pattern making it look like a diamond stitching.
• Nylon which is the classic lightweight fabric with high tenacity and excellent abrasion resistance. Also has good strength and provides high resistance to mold and mildew and many chemicals.
• PVC Easy Clean is a thicker fabric that provides a more leather-like touch. It’s made of an ultra resistant material that is easy to clean with a quick wipe and go!

*For cleaning, use a mild detergent or cleaner to remove any dirt or debris from surface. Do NOT use abrasives. Apron can be surface disinfected with most standard hospital-grade disinfectants containing QATs, IPA, or Hydrogen Peroxide.
