RDS-Med R– Radiation Survey Meter

The RDS-Med-R is a versatile survey meter for measuring H*(10) dose equivalent rate, evaluating shielding and contamination, and can serve as an area monitor with the RDS Alarm Box. The RDS-Med-R will be delivered with default measurement units of rems. The RDS-Med (GMP-25) pancake probe is designed for alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray monitoring. This smart external detector for the RDS-Med Survey Meter features an internal high voltage generator, non-volatile memory, and an on-the-fly connection capability that allows the meter to automatically recognize and adjust to the probe type.

The RDS-Med meter can detect a wide range of ionizing radiation, including gamma and X-rays, with the ability to connect to external alpha, beta, and neutron probes. Mirion GMP-12/GMP-25 probes and the full CSP™ probe range can be connected with an adequate cable. With both warning and alarm levels, users can know quickly if contamination or dose rates exceed screening levels for decontamination or patient monitoring.
