*Synthetic bone phantoms do not image the same as Human Bone Phantoms.  Synthetic X-ray phantoms are designed to mimic the density and structure of human bones, but they lack the complex trabecular patterns found in real human bone. Trabecular patterns are unique to only human bones and cannot be fully replicated in synthetic phantoms. This distinction also makes the synthetic x-ray phantoms much less expensive.
