View at the office today. On this holiday weekend, let us not forget that Memorial Day is a day set aside to honor the men and women who died while serving in the US military.  Waterloo—which first celebrated the day on May 5, 1866—was chosen because it hosted an annual, community-wide event, during which businesses closed and residents decorated the graves of soldiers with flowers and flags.

Z&Z Medical will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day.

Birthday wishes to our Sales Representative & Imaging Consultant for the State of Iowa, Brian Carr. Brian really enjoys spending time with his wife Teresa and participating in the lives of his grandchildren. He also enjoys slow cooking and spoiling a good walk by golfing. Happy Birthday Brian. Z&Z Medical was the proud recipient of Two Awards presented at the 2022 Vision National Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 

Brian Kramme celebrates his 22-year work anniversary at Z&Z Medical in May. Brian is a partial owner of Z&Z Medical and operates as Vice President of Digital Services. He manages and performs all functions related to our e-commerce web site www.zzmedical.com . This includes adding products, SEO management, online shopping ad campaigns, site analytics, product updates, site layout and design enhancements. He also services and maintains x-ray systems and digital imaging platforms, as well as IT and computer services for all customers remotely and on-site. Brian has a deep knowledge of all things digital and is very comfortable working on almost any digital system and related networks.

He always has a very patient approach with customers as well as the equipment he services. This makes customers very comfortable working with him as he always gives a very thorough explanation with details about the issue they are having, and he speaks to them in a way that is very easy to understand. He is very persistent in his approach to find and fix almost any problem he encounters when servicing customer’s equipment. Brian also works closely with the sales staff at Z&Z Medical to help direct customers to the proper equipment that will fit their needs and then works to prepare professional quotes that are presented to the customer.

Brian is married to his wife Mindy, and they have 3 children, Lilian, Aaron and Austin. They have one child in each of the 3 school networks (high school, middle school and grade school) which means they are quite busy with kids that are growing and always busy. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, boating, traveling, canoe and kayaking, home improvement projects and following professional sports.

When a health facility's "quality and safety climate or culture" values hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC), this results in both patients and health workers feeling protected and cared for. To prioritize clean hands in health facilities, people at all levels need to believe in the importance of hand hygiene and IPC to save lives, by acting as key players in achieving the appropriate behaviors and attitudes towards it. In other words, people in all positions and people accessing health care facilities need to unite on ensuring clean hands.

This year's theme for World Hand Hygiene Day, 5 May 2022, is focused on recognizing that we can add to a facility's climate or culture of safety and quality through cleaning our hands but also that a strong quality and safety culture will encourage people to clean hands at the right times and with the right products. Unite, talk and work together on hand hygiene for high quality safer care everywhere.
