I'm thrilled for National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW), a special time to celebrate who we are and the vital contributions we make. NRTW is also a powerful opportunity for us to educate the public, healthcare professionals, and elected officials about the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession. This year’s theme, "Always on the Front Line of Health Care. It’s Time for Us to Be Seen," highlights our dedication and commitment to elevating the profession and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
As we celebrate, let's remember that the radiology profession includes not only those who perform imaging but also technologists who use their expertise behind the scenes, applying their skills and knowledge in ways that directly impact the quality of care. It's essential to recognize every professional who contributes to radiology—whether through direct patient interactions, continuous education, or maintaining their licensure each year, often without recognition.
During NRTW, let’s stand tall together, proudly representing all aspects of our profession. We are a community of skilled professionals who make a real difference every day, and this week is for every one of us.
