On November 8, medical imaging professionals from across the world will celebrate the 11th International Day of Radiology. We encourage all radiologists, radiographers, radiological technologists, professionals in other related fields and patient groups to join together on this day to recognise and promote the essential role that radiology plays in the patient journey.
The International Day of Radiology will take place on November 8 with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care and improving public understanding of the vital role radiologists and radiographers play in the healthcare continuum.
On this day, we promote the seismic impact of radiology on medicine – earlier detection, fewer surgeries, and game-changing treatment outcomes. It is an opportunity, not only to promote these benefits amongst our colleagues in healthcare and the public at large, but to reflect on them ourselves.
