We asked our employees two questions this year as they reflect on their birthday and purpose. 

If you could raise awareness about one thing, what would it be?  If I could raise awareness about one thing, it would be that chronic obesity is a disease of metabolic disorder that leads to hormonal dysregulation and imbalance. For many people, this is why it is a lifelong battle, because their biology is working against them. In other words, for many people, it’s simply not “their fault” that they struggle to maintain a healthy weight.   

What’s one thing about you that others might be surprised to learn? People might be surprised to know that even though I have four kids, and am a devout family man, there was a time when I couldn’t fathom the thought of having children. I was too scared! But one day, a guy who came from, and has a big family of his own said, “Have kids. And keep having them! You’ll never regret it!” Some of the best advice I ever received!
