Welcome our New Employee Deb Smith

Z&Z Medical is happy to announce the addition of one of our newest employees, Deb Smith. Deb has been added to our staff of Customer Service personnel. She is responsible for entering customer orders into our system and ensuring that all orders are complete for accuracy and processing. She also assists in answering incoming phone calls, live chats and custom orders directly with the customer. Deb has done a good job of quickly learning our system and contributing to the processes that get the job done.

During her spare time away from Z&Z, Deb enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and going on walks with her dogs.

We welcome Deb to the Z&Z team!

Happy Easter from the folks at Z&Z Medical

In celebration of the Easter Holiday, we at Z&Z Medical would like to invite everyone to enjoy some relaxing time with their families and maybe reflect on some of the things that make our lives enjoyable. Take a moment to focus on the promise this country offers of freedom to practice any religion or faith of your choice. Please reach out to one another with love and support of these freedoms and extend a hand of fellowship together as one nation regardless of who your savior is. Give an extra hug to your kids, family, loved ones and friends and wish them a blessed day. We all share this big world, and it is our hope that by doing it together, we can achieve peace, freedom, and acceptance of one another for a better tomorrow. Consider a quote that holds a lot of meaning when attempting to live in harmony with all the people and religions of the world, “Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; Argument is an exchange of ignorance”.

From the folks at Z&Z Medical, Happy Easter to all.

Happy Birthday Nicole Schmitz

Happy Birthday Nicole Schmitz

We asked our employees two questions this year as they reflect on their birthday and purpose.

If you could raise awareness about one thing, what would it be? I would love to raise more awareness about Alopecia. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that has affected my daughter since she was 8 years old. She was diagnosed with alopecia areata which means she loses hair in spots when her body decides to start attacking the hair follicles and the hair falls out. Most times the spots will range from a quarter size to sometimes the entire side or backside of her scalp. She even lost an eyebrow at one point. As much as it is a “cosmetic” disease losing hair, the emotional and mental aspect of what kids with this is what is the hardest. When kids ask if they have cancer because they have bald spots, when you try to cover with headbands, certain hairstyles, and being in a sport of competitive cheerleading where it is all about the big hair we’ve had some struggles. We’ve found the best course of action is steroid shots given directly in the scalp, which is a painful and excruciating process, but it does work. What I wish is that with all of the drugs on the market for auto-immune diseases, dealing with skin issues and other things that, there really has not been a great deal put into finding medicines that would help this rather than the shots.

What’s one thing about you that others might be surprised to learn? One thing that people are surprised to learn is that I can crochet. I learned when I was young from my aunt and mom and have most recently picked it up again. I’m currently making an afghan for my living room.

So there ya go~~~ 46 here I come!
